So, Its true! We had our first snow for the winter season tonight. Well, okay maybe it was mostly rain, but that's besides the point. It was kinda snowy......kinda. I'm excited but at the same time it doesn't help cure the homesickness I've been feeling lately...I mean, I miss it...I miss the super cold dry winters....kinda. Maybe I just miss all the memories that are attached to snow filled winters. At this time last year I was just getting used to the cold again. I was at home, Dad had just gotten back from a hunting trip with his prize and was hanging it in the garage. Oh the good ole days. I bet they have a tonne of snow at home.
Right now, mom is getting ready for the craft fair...I know it might sound crazy, but I miss helping her prepare for the craft fair....no matter how bitchy she was getting....lol. I wonder how the little Japanese kid that is staying at my mom's house is handling the cold. I hope he's doing okay as it can be a bit of a shock at first.
Again....its snowing/raining here now....this means another season of cars skidding around because this country doesn't use winter tires; contemplating whether the snow is going to be wet enough to take an umbrella; clinging for dear life as I attempt to walk up my slick-slush covered stone steps (last march I broke off a piece of the railing as I tried not to plummet to my death...as I almost did again today); waiting for the one snow fall that is big enough to have a kick-ass snow ball fight; freezing my butt off because its too hot on the subways and inside to warrant wearing a giant parka; sweating on the subway because I wore the giant parka; and watching the snow gracefully fall into the light cast by the lampposts on the street. I think this winter is going to be wonderful....I can tell already! :)

P.S. I finally found mollases and I made some absolutly delicious ginger snaps with Jennifer earlier this past week.
